This is the information on our annual junior tournament. Appreciation goes to Grant Schuler for securing new sponsorship for our tournament from Arbor Care Ltd and Bruce Walpole for spot prizes from Trust Power.

2016 Arbor Care Ltd Junior Tennis Tournament

This is Otumoetai Tennis Club's annual junior tournament and formerly known as the Junior Legacy Tournament

Dates: February 13-14, 2016

Venue: Otumoetai Tennis Club and Otumoetai College

Age Groups: U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s, U18s

Age Eligibility: Age as of February 29, 2016

Entry Fees:

$35 per player for singles and doubles

$55 for 2 children in family

$75 for 3 or more children in family

Court Surfaces: Plexi-cushion and Astro Turf

Entries Close: Sunday February 7, 2016 at 8:00pm and can be entered manually using entry form at the tournament link below

OTC: Post Xmas Junior Interclub

Hi ,

Post Xmas Junior Interclub is scheduled to begin on February 27 and last for 4 weeks. With the Junior Residentials scheduled for March 12/13, I am guessing there will be no interclub on that weekend.

If you are wanting to play Post Xmas Junior Interclub, please could you let me know by Thursday February 4. There is a sign up sheet on the junior notice board. Yes, I know this sounds like an early deadline, but Tennis Waikato Bays is already asking for this information, so the sooner you let me know, the better.

I have Josh Vincent and John and Hank An listed so far.

If your Pre Xmas team wants to stay together for this competition, please ask your team manager to confirm this with me.

If you haven't played interclub before but feel you are ready to begin match-play, please sign up. If you are not sure whether you have the skills, talk to Jason or myself.

WBOP Senior Twilight Mixed Interclub Tennis

Hello Junior,

The 2016 WBOP Twilight Mixed Interclub Tennis competition is planned to start on Friday, 12th February 2016. Play will run tentatively for 6 rounds, dependent upon the number of entries.

A sign-up sheet will be posted in the Clubhouse downstairs lobby this evening. Players interested in this competition should put their names/contact #'s on the sign-up sheet as soon as practicable, or alternatively e-mail Fred at fredkleve@yahoo.com, or call him at 544-5088. Team rosters must be submitted by about the end of January.

If players want to form their own teams, we will try to accommodate this as much as practicable. Junior players of suitable ability are invited to join this competition. Contact Fred/Julia at 544-5088 if you have any questions.

Club Day Move, Courts Unavailability

Hello Junior,

Otumoetai Senior Club Day Tennis for the weekend of 10/11 January will be held on Sunday, 10 January, starting at 1:30 pm.

This change is due to Otumoetai courts being used on Friday/Saturday, 8/9 January, as part of the 2016 WBOP Seniors Tournament. There are over 180 different players from all over the North Island entered in this year's event, with matches played at Tauranga Lawn (Fri-Sun) and Otumoetai (Fri-Sat).

The Otumoetai courts will not be available for casual play on Friday, 8 January, until after 12:30 pm, and not until after 3 pm on Saturday, 9 January.
