2014-15 Club Champs Men's/Ladies Doubles

Hello ,

The Club Champs Men's and Ladies Doubles for 2014-15 will be held on 14th and 15th (if necessary) March 2015. Starting time is 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. To encourage more participation, we will also have a "Social Grade", in addition to the regular Competitive Grade.

A Sign-up Sheet will be posted on the Senior Bulletin Board in the Clubhouse downstairs area tomorrow. If you wish to enter, please put your names on the Sign-up Sheet, or e-mail/call Fred at clubcaptain@otumoetaitennis.co.nz/544-5088.

Juniors of suitable ability are eligible and encouraged to enter this competition - if you have a question about whether this is for you, please ask Fred or Jason.

OTC Juniors: Legacy Tourney ...

Another tourney has come and gone ... PHEW! Congratulations to all of our competitors.

Congratulations to Boys 14 Singles Champion Caelan Potts who played an awesome match to beat Teiki Sydney from Matamata.

Mixed Doubles Club Champs Re-scheduled

Hello ,

We have to delay the 2014-15 Otumoetai Club Champs Mixed Doubles to the following weekend, 28th February/1st March. This will both ensure we have sufficient courts (Otumoetai will host a Men's Regional Premier Interclub match on 21st February), and also allow players involved in the Regional Premier Interclub play to enter the Club Champs. The Men's/Ladies Doubles Club Champs remain 14th/15th March.

If you want to enter the Mixed Doubles Club Champs, please sign up on the sheet on the Seniors Board in the clubhouse foyer, call Fred at 544-5088, or send an e-mail to clubcaptain@otumoetaitennis.co.nz.

Tennis Courts Unavailable This Weekend

Hello ,

OTC is holding its annual Juniors Tournament this weekend, so the tennis courts will be unavailable for casual play on both Saturday and Sunday from 8:15 am to probably about 6 pm on Saturday and 5 pm on Sunday.

Ths means that there will be no Senior Club Day tennis this weekend.

OTC Juniors: Legacy Tourney - Help Wanted PLZ

Hi Junior Members,

We are on the count down to the start of our Legacy Junior Tournament which is being held this weekend February 14 and 15.

I am after parents to help with this tournament. I have had some offers from Grant Schuler, Harjit Singh Rai and a couple of our senior committee members (gratefully appreciated), BUT I can't do everything else myself.

I'm after some help ...
1. In the kitchen preparing/selling food/juicies/drinks/lollie bags/fruit. I'll have all the kitchen requirements bought though. Preparation and selling would be a big help.
2. Putting up umbrellas and making sure club chairs are brought back to the club house.
3. Club house upstairs tables/chairs are litter-free.
4. Anything else you can think of that you can do for our tournament that will help it to run smoothly.

If you can help, please let me know.

We have entries from as far away as Napier, New Plymouth and Auckland. 82 players in total.
