Otumoetai Senior Tennis and trophies
Hello ,
With daylight saving now changed and the morning tennis for juniors at an end the senior Saturday afternoon tennis will now start at 1pm for the winter months.
We are planning on having our senior prize giving after April and I would like those who have trophies to PLEASE SHINE THEM up and bring them back to the club for this year's presentations. If they could be left in the bar I will be able to collect them from there.
Plus to update all members on our sponsorship.
We have been extremely privileged to obtain sponsorship from Legacy Funerals for our inaugrual junior tennis tournament held in Februaru this year. The tournament was a tremendous success thanks to the awesome efforts of the junior committee. We have approached Mike Savage of Legacy Funerals to see if Legacy would consider sponsoring our senior tournament that is held at Queens birthday weekend every year. Mike has agreed to our request which is wonderful news. Mike & his team from Legacy would like to come and meet senior members and any juniors and their parents who would like to come are most welcome. We plan to have our usual tennis afternoon on Saturday 28th April starting at 1pm followed by a special afternoon tea. Mike and his team will talk to us about the Legacy concept and what their "Legacy" to our community is about.
Please mark your calendar and come to the club for a great afternoon of tennis and meet the team from Legacy. We hope to give a great impression of Otumoetai Tennis and confirm that Legacy has made the right decision in sponsoring our club for both these annual tournament.
If anyone has any queries regarding the above items please do not hestitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Moira Van Den Broek
Acting Club Captain
